Developing the "Whole" person...

On the last Saturday of each month, an accomplished artist educator teaches students art for one hour. Some past projects include landscape painting, printmaking, portrait painting, collage, mixed media, scratch art and pattern design painting. Additionally, twice during the school year, a published poet teaches students the art of poetry writing. In March of each year S.T.A.R.S. hosts a poetry event where the students recite their original works before an audience of community members, family and friends.
